Thetford Rovers Fc


Matt Jackson: Jax is a new signing having spent last season with sprowston. Having many clubs vying for his signature this summer we are very happy Matt chose Thetford Rovers. Matt is a fantastic keeper and gives the team real confidence knowing they have him between the sticks. A genuine nice fella and a welcome addition to the club.


Gary Vickers: Vicks has been with rovers for many seasons now, once a striker he now plays at full back. He is quick, strong and one of the fittest players at the club. A real family man and always plays with a smile on his face, he is fully committed to the club and we are delighted to retain his services this season.


Gary Hockins: Hocks is the clubs captain and gives his all every game. He marshall's his back four to near perfection and does everything that is asked of him. He is a fantastic leader and a great character to have in the changing room. An honest family man  that any club would be lucky to have.


Marc Anderson: Ando has come into the first team this season having spent last season with the reserves and has really taken his opportunities. Playing at centre back or midfield he is an accomplished ball player and very composed on the ball. At times a fiery character but all in all a smashing lad with a big future at Rovers.


Richard Croome: Croomer played for the reserves last season and spent the summer playing for Anglian Comb Div 1 side Brandon so we were delighted when he agreed to re-sign for Rovers. Playing at centre back he is calm on the ball and great in the air but his biggest attribute is his constant talking to his teammates. Fantastic to have in the changing rooms a real jovial character.


Alex De Graca: Alex has been with rovers for many seasons now and despite Thetford Town fighting for his signature this summer he turned them down to stay loyal to rovers. Al can play on the wing or at full back has bundles of pace and is a real tricky player. Likes to get forward but wont shirk his defensive duties either. A real likeable fella a great character on and off the pitch a real club favourite.


Adam Haylett: Ski signed in the summer from crown & fire league champions Bridgham. Since Ski joined Rovers he has been a real constant in the way that we play. Possesses a great footballing brain and winning mentality yet also brings a sense of calm to the side. A nice down to earth guy that has shown he can step up to this level and surpass it, a real joy to manage. 


Dan Cusack: Dan is another player that was in and out of the 1st team last season having played the majority of his games in the reserves. Dan is full of confidence and has a tremendous amount of ability good in a tackle and possesses a fantastic range of passing, is still only young but has already cemented his place in the side. A real character that everyone seems to bounce off of, a cracking player with a bright future.


Kamren Senior: Kam joined this summer having played previously at Tuddenham. Kam can play left mid or up top, His pace is frightening he is a real threat going forward yet will also do his fair share of defensive duties. Always capable of scoring and scares the life out of full backs. A top lad off the pitch and seems to be really enjoying his football.


Dan Holland: Dan signed this summer having previously played under Brooksie at Brandon and in the Bury leagues, Dan has also previously represented the British Army football squad. Plays right midfield or in the centre he has a great engine and has pace in abundance. Always capable of scoring goals and the strikers are happy they have a player like him to supply them with his crossing ability. Great fella to have at the club fits in well with everyone and has already become an important part of the side.


Craig Thomson: Thommo is another new signing this summer having enjoyed previous success at Thetford Ath, he started the season in the reserves but has already become a integral part of the 1st team. He brings so much energy to the side he is a real catalyst to his teammates to challenge all over the pitch. His versatility is an asset as thommo can play in midfield, up top or at full back yet his best position is up top where he doesn't give the back 4 anytime on the ball and is more than capable of grabbing a few goals. Great lad that is always willing to work hard for his side.


Jeff Baxter: Jeff joined this summer having previously played at Bridgham and Kings Lynn reserves. Jeff plays as a striker and is a real fox in the box sort of player looking to cease on any chance that comes his way. A fantastic finisher with tremendously quick feet that can fool any defender. Intelligent with his movement and a capable of creating his own chances as well as getting on the end of crosses. A top lad that loves the banter in the changing room


Darren Clay: Dazza is another player that has come into the 1st team from the reserves. He won player of the year in the reserves last season and has taken that good form into his performances for the 1st team this season. Daz has been at the club for 7 years but is still only 25. He plays at left or right full back is calm on the ball always looks to play football. Likes to get forward whenever possible good in the air and loves a tackle. Smashing lad is great to have him at the club.


Liam Conroy: Liam joined this summer despite Thetford Town trying to get his signature. Is a very versatile player can play full back either side,centre halve and centre mid. Having previously played in the Anglian Com Prem with Brandon liam clearly possesses great ability. Is a good ball player that expects the best from himself week in week out. Looking to establish himself as a regular this season he has impressed the management team with his performances and attitude so far. Nice lad on and off the pitch, a good signing


Michael Watts: Wattsy signed this summer from Fire & Crown Div 1 champions Bridgham. Plays right or left mid or up top he has grown in confidence since his arrival. Despite his Love to take players on and whip in crosses he also has pace to burn and has become a real asset to the squad.  Wouldn't meet a nicer lad is a joy to manage and is always looking to improve. Has a bright future at Rovers and has the everyone at the club looking forward to what he produces over the course of the season.


Danny Foster: Fozzie came over this summer having spent last season at Kings Lynn reserves. With Thetford Town chasing his signature it was quite a coup that we managed to secure him. Fozzie clearly has immense quality he possesses two quick feet and can deliver a ball better than most i've seen. He plays up top or right mid likes to come deep get the ball to feet and run at the defenders. Is still very young and has alot to learn but its clear for all to see he is going to be a fantastic player. Is a nice lad and definately one to watch.


Dan Bailey: Bailey has stayed on at Rovers agin this season having been a 1st team regular under the previous management. Dan plays at left back and loves to bomb forward joining in with the attack he is a big strong lad good in the air and has great pace. A real genuine, nice fella with a fantastic attitude and a very popular person in the squad. Dan is looking to stamp his authority on the side prove he is first choice this season.

 

Dan Disney (Waltz) New addition this year, great goalkeeper with exceptional handling. brilliant shot stopper hard to beat genuine lad that is a great asset to the side

 
Ben Harrison: Excellent shot stopper and will even score a few goals in a seson
 
Rob Candler:   Young attacking full back that has started to grow in confidence in every game he plays. Loves to get forward and can deliver a decent ball into the box. Getting better and better and growing in confidence with every game.
 
James Miller: Solid player that can play in most positions on the pitch. Never shys from a tackle, good in the air and loves to get forward. One of the senior players in the side that the side rely on.
 
Rhys Parish: joined rovers this year and has been a brilliant signing, reads the game very well and commands from the back. Strong confident player would get into most teams. His presence and talking is a big plus for the side.
 
David Suttling: Will win everything in the air and will never pull out of a tackle. An old head in the team that will always give 110%. Can never underestimate how important he is, one of the leaders in a young side. 
 
Ricky Tuddenham: New signing this year can play in various positions. loves to get stuck in and loves to get forward.
 
Jordan McGill: Been with Rovers for many years loves to get stuck in and will never pull out of a tackle.
 
Kane Gibson: Solid player who is confident on the ball has 2 very quick feet and can pick out a pin point pass. Hard working central midfielder.
 
James Wells: The banter king thats great for the changing rooms. Very tricky player on the pitch with great passing ability, great attitude when he wants to have looking to him to mature his game and lead the side with his positivity.
 
Ray Firth: Joined Rovers again this year after having several succeful years. always hard working and can pick out a pin point cross.
 
Jake Rutter:Hard working midfielder, dont let his size fool you as he will always put in a tackle and has a cracking left foot. good skills on the ball needs to become consisitant and will become a good player in time
 
Bruno: Just turned 16 but has already developed a regular within the squad a youngster that has a bright future. One to watch.
 
Jamie Pinto (JJ): Very tricky winger with great skills. Every defenders nightmare as he is very hard to stop. Always plays with a smile
 
Jim Aylward: Strong striker that defends from the front, loves to get stuck in and scores his fair shares of goals.
 
Craig Greenhill:
 Joined from Brandon Town this year hard working striker that will score many goals this year.
 
Jack Walker: (captain) has a great footballing head and has exceptional movement off the ball knows where the back of the net is.
 
Lewis Parish: (Pav) On his day will score many goals. Strong in the air and also has quick feet.
