
News for the Club: January
Thetford Rovers FC are pleased to announce that they have decided to join forces with The Papworth Mesothelioma Support Group. This is a fantastic charity that gives so much to patients, families and carers who have been diagnosed with Mesothelioma cancer. Thetford Rovers FC have committed to raising much needed funds for this support group and will be running several events through out the year on behalf of the football and this charity.
Thetford Rovers would like to announce the signing of Simon Mann from Thetford Town. Manno has played for Town at Ridgeons level for a number of seasons now proving himself as a prolific goal scorer. He will be available for selection from this Saturday and everyone at the club is excited to see him in the red and black of Rovers.
Brooksie and Simo were successful in capturing the signing of James Attwood from Newmarket Town FC. We would like to welcome him to the club. Atty will add competition and experience to the squad and is looking forward to helping the team on their quest for promotion.
News for the Club: December
The club would like to thank 1st team fitness coach Dave Reyland for sponsoring Managers jackets for Simon and Robert in the 1st team.
The 1st team have finished 2011 in 2nd place in the league with a game in hand of the leaders Attleborough and will be looking to come back in the New Year stronger than ever with the addition of one or two new faces.
The Reserves who have had a tough few months with injuries and work commitments, finished the year off in style with a great away win.
Leaving the club in December has been reserve team striker Jim Alyward who has signed for Anglian Combination Division 2 neighbouring side East Harling FC. The club wishes Jim all the best at his new club.

Jack Sears, Clive Brewer, Jamil Kamal and Frank McKenzie all sign for Rovers
Ted Zipfel celebrated his birthday and everyone at the club would like to wish him a very happy birthday.
The month of November has seen another Bulldogs player step up into the Reserves with Luke Shephard - son of former rovers player Paul and nephew of ex manager Mark making his debut against Swaffham Town 'A'.
It is with great regret that I write to inform you all that reserve team captain Jack Walker has once again been dealt a massive blow and has broken his leg which will see him out of action for the remainder of the season and possibly beyond - everyone at the club wishes Jack a speedy recovery.
With some better news first team goalkeeper Matthew Jackson will marry his long term partner Gemma this month and everyone at the club wishes them both a great day and a happy future.
News for the Club: October
The club are pleased to announce that the link with local youth side Thetford Bulldogs has been forged even further with the under 16's training regularly with the senior squads and they have impressed the coaching team with their willingness to listen and learn.
We are looking forward to seeing many of them progress into the colours of Thetford Rovers FC.

News for the Club: July / August
The club are looking for a club linesman and physio this season for both 1st team and reserves, travel will be arranged for away games and kit will be supplied to wear on matchdays. So far this pre-season has seen the birth of Captain Gary Hockins and wife Sabrina's baby boy Oscar and new signing Callum Brown and his girlfriend have just given birth to their little girl Gracie. The club would like to congratulate both players and their partners on their new arrivals.
The club are happy to report that Alex De Graca has decided to stay this season after training pre-season with local club Thetford Town FC. Everyone at the club is delighted to have Alex for another season.
The club are working very hard with two local Thetford based companies to secure a tracksuit sponsor and matchday polo t-shirt sponsor and hope to announce these companies in the next few weeks.
Thetford Rovers FC are happy to report that Dave Reyland (senior) has joined the club as club fitness coach and will be working on our two squads fitness levels throughout the season.
